HTC Droid Incredible

Motorola Droid owners now have a reason to be jealous. Verizon's third and arguably best vgp-bps8 Droid handset is the HTC Droid Incredible, an Android 2.1 powered device with an updated version of HTC's Sense interface. The Incredible sports a sleek black-and-red design, an optical trackpad in lieu of a trackball, and a brilliant, 3.7-inch 480 x 800 AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. If that isn't enough, the Incredible comes with a 1-GHz Snapdragon processor, a sharp 8-MP camera, vgp-bps8a and tethering capabilities right out of the box (take that, iPhone). While we have some complaints, and the $199 price will be too steep for some, overall the Incredible is one sweet smart phone. laptop


Design


The Incredible is a gorgeous, black phone with red accents (signifying its ties to Verizon). It measures 4.6 x 2.3 x 0.5 inches, making it quite pocketable and thin, and it weighs 4.6 ounces. That's significantly lighter than the Motorola Droid (6 ounces) but the same weight as the GSM version of thevgp-bpl8. It felt light enough that we sometimes didn't notice it in our pocket. Up top you'll find a 3.5mm headset jack and the power button, which serves as a sleep/wake button when the phone is turned on. The right side of the device is clean and devoid of any buttons, the left houses a micro-USB port and a volume rocker.vgp-bps9,vgp-bps9/s,vgp-bps9/b,vgp-bps9a/b

When you flip the Incredible over and look at the back, things start to look busy. There is a large, red 8MP camera with a dual LED flash sitting on a backplate with an odd, terraced design that looks like a topographical vgp-bps13. We wondered whether the ridges and raises were just an arbitrary design feature, but when you remove the HTC emblazoned battery cover, you'll find that they're there because of the phone's internals. Yes, some may prefer the Droid's physical keyboard, but that flat layout is one of the few things we don't like about Motorola's handset.

Report  Sony VAIO W Series Eco Edition

It’s green, but does it cost too much green? With the VAIO W Eco Edition Sony vgp-bps9 seeks to stand out with a design that’s partially made of reprocessed plastic from CDs, as well as a carrying case made of recycled PET bottles. The keyboard, at 86 percent of full size, feels somewhat cramped. And while we like the HD display and the bundled Kidzui browser that’s designed to keep kids safe, parents may think twice about paying an $80 premium (or more) over competing netbooks for Sony’s latest mini-notebook. The $480 VAIO W Eco Edition offers style, eco-friendliness, good performance, and a robust software bundle, but it’s not the best value. Read on to see how this netbook vgp-bps9/s stacks up to the competition.

Design

The rounded edges of the 10.5 x 7.1 x 2.0-inch Sony VAIO W remind us of the Samsung N130’s pebble-like design. The white, vgp-bps9/b matte lid eschews fingerprints and includes a large but tasteful embedded chrome VAIO logo. This color allowed every mark to be immediately apparent, and we wished for something a bit darker to hide scuff marks. Sony offers two other color choices for the non-Eco Edition, but environmentalists will have to live with Sugar White for now. Under the lid, the deck has a dimpled pattern and a tasteful sea green color that meshed well with the silver metallic keyboard. The six-cell battery juts out from the bottom of the VAIO W a full three quarters of an inch, which gives the netbook a useful forward incline but also a noticeable thickness in the back. Though it’s not as svelte as some of our favorite netbooks of  vgp-bps9a/b , it weighs the standard 2.8 pounds.

Greenness

As vgp-bps8 implies, the VAIO W Eco Edition has a few more environmentally friendly aspects than most netbooks. The chassis is made from 20 percent recycled CDs. There’s no cardboard packaging to throw out when you buy this netbook—it comes in a carrying case made from recycled PET bottles. However, we would have liked to see the green theme extended to the software package, with Sony battery making it easy for users to monitor and adjust how much energy the VAIO W uses (similar to Toshiba’s eco Utility).



Charging the battery after it was fully drained took 3 hours and 45 minutes. During this time the VAIO W used an average of 31.3 watts. Owing to its relatively short battery life (6:42), this netbook’s LAPTOP Battery Efficiency Rating was 17.5. While that score is equal to the category average, it’s worse than most other Pine Trail netbooks we’ve tested. The dell laptopbattery, for example, has an Efficiency Rating of 10.4. Still, the VAIO W boasts an EPEAT Gold rating of 21 out of 27, which is quite good.

Heat

The VAIO W kept its cool during our heat test. After streaming a Hulu video for 15 minutes, we measured the temperature on the touchpad at 82 degrees Fahrenheit; the vgp-bps12 space between the G and H keys reached 87 degrees; and the middle of the underside rose to 96 degrees. Though the underside’s temperature is right at the cusp of our “acceptable” threshold (below 100 degrees), we were never uncomfortable using the VAIO W on our lap.

Review Dell Inspiron Mini 10 (T-Mobile)

T-Mobile is very late to the 3G netbook party, but its first entry is the cheapest you’ll find on any network for vgp-bps9  sony vgp-bps9 in terms of total cost of ownership. How much cheaper? The data plan for the vgp-bps9a/b,sony vgp-bps9a/b with T-Mobile webConnect ($199 with two-year contract) costs $40 per month for 5GB. That’s $20 less than what AT&T and Verizon Wireless charge, or $480 less over the length of the contract. For those scoring at home, that’s nearly enough for a Wi-Fi-only iPad. Even better, this mini-laptop delivers considerably faster mobile broadband than other 3G netbooks, especially in areas where the carrier has fully upgraded its network to HSPA 7.2. So what’s the catch? You’re still paying $1,159 over two years for a secondary PC with a relatively small 10-inch screen. And sony vgp-bps9/s battery’s touchpad leaves much to be desired. So is this 3G netbook a good deal or should you pass? 


Design

And that’s mostly a good thing. We like the sleek, wedge-shaped design and the glossy white border on the sides. The keyboard of  vgp-bps12provided good tactile feedback and zero flex. We also like the direct access keys which let you adjust the volume and brightness without pressing Fn first. However, we pretty much despise the touchpad. It integrates the mousepad buttons, xps m1530 battery are stiff, making an otherwise nice machine difficult to use. We also found it harder to select text and to scroll on this netbook than others we’ve tested. It gets worse. Because the touchpad is close to the front lip of the netbook, you have to be careful not to accidentally brush against it when typing so you don’t move the cursor. For us, the touchpad is almost a dealbreaker, but others may feel differently.

Sharing laptop battery knowledge

It is my pleasure bringing to you Battery
University, the institution for Learning the basics about vgp-bps8 batteries. In each of
the short commentaries you will read about the best battery choices, new battery
technologies and ways to make your batteries last longer. Practical, down-to-earth
battery information is sometimes hard to find. Battery manufacturers are often
too optimistic with their promises and only emphasize positive features.


I have a background in radio communications and studied the behavior of rechargeable
batteries in practical, everyday applications for several decades. In desiring

How to replace Wireless Mini-Cards in your laptop

The laptop’s most advantage compare to PC is the movability. That means we can take our laptop to everywhere for work fun and so on. So we can not leave internet to get the infomation, but you can not get a Cable Internet anywhere. In that time we must use the laptop wireless Mini-Cards to connect to internet.


If you ordered a wireless card Mini with the computer, the card already installed. Your computer supports three types of cards Mini Wireless: Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), Ultra-wideband (UWB)-map Mobile Broadband or Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN). http://www.batterymag.co.uk


NOTE: To avoid damaging the system board, remove the laptop battery from the battery bay before starting work within the laptop. As the short circuit may damage your laptop hardware.


Usually replace the Wireless Mini-Cards will divided into 2 step : 1. Remove and replace Mini Card. 2. Removing and replace the Module Flash memory cache. We will tell you how to do them one by one.


Remove Mini Card :



  • Turn on your computer with Dell Latitude D830 Battery.


  • Loosen the eight screws in the back to captivity, and then remove the cover.

  • Disconnect the antenna cables from the Mini-card. (NOTE: The Mini-card may have two or three connectors, depending on the type of card you ordered.)


  • Release the Mini-card by removing the securing screw.

  • Lift the card out of its system board connector.



Replacing Mini-Card


NOTE: The connectors are coded to ensure proper load. If you feel resistance, check the connections on the card and the Dell XPS M1730 Battery motherboard, and the reorganization of the map.

Removing Flash Cache Module

  • Lift the FCM out of its system board connector.



Replacing the FCM


NOTICE: Install the FCM in the WWAN slot. Do not install an FCM in the WLAN card slot. Doing so may cause damage to your Dell Inspiron 6400 Battery computer.



  • Insert the FCM connector at a 45-degree angle into the system board connector labeled “FCM”.

  • Press the other end of the FCM down into the slot on the system board until the card clicks into place.


  • Replace the M2 x 3-mm securing screw.


Now we successful replace our Wireless Mini-Cards for my laptop by ourself.

REVIEW Sony VAIO

Design


Sony touts the vgp-bpl8 as the world’s lightest notebook, and at 1.4 pounds (with the four-cell battery), it is; even the vgp-bps9, which has a similar processor but a smaller 7.0-inch screen, weighs 1.8 pounds. When you put the extended battery on the VAIO X, the weight—2.2 pounds—is still more than half a pound lighter than most 10-inch netbooks.

Measuring 11.0 x 7.3 x 0.6 inches (without the extended battery), the VAIO X rivals the vgp-bps9/s in terms of thickness; however, its footprint is similar to other netbooks with the same screen size. When the extended battery is attached (by means of two screws that give the underside a quasi-steampunk feel), the back of the system is raised up by about 0.3 inches, and slants towards the user. The battery of vgp-bps9/b also doesn’t lie flush with the underside of the system; it’s designed with gaps in it to aid in the cooling of the netbook.

So how was Sony able to achieve such a thin and light netbook? The VAIO X’s chassis is made of a magnesium alloy, and the lid is built from carbon fiber. This material allows the screen to flex, which can be a bit unnerving, but Sony said that it’s designed to bend somewhat. Also, by using an Intel Atom Z-series processor, which uses less power (and creates less heat) than the N-series Atom chips in most netbooks for vgp-bps9a/b.the company was able to make the netbook incredibly slim without requiring a fan.

The lid of our review unit was matte black, as was the inside, with a bronze underside that felt slightly rough to the touch. Sony also offers the netbook with a Champagne Gold lid, but only for the model with a 128GB SSD (more on that later).


Keyboard and Touchpad


Like other Sony vgp-bps8, the keyboard on the VAIO X is island-style, but at 88 percent of full size, it’s a bit smaller than most netbooks with 10- to 12-inch screens. Measuring 9.5 x 3.5 inches, the keyboard is about half an inch smaller in both directions than the sony vgp-bpl8, even though the VAIO X has a larger keyboard deck. This is because there’s about half an inch of space on either side of the keyboard.

With the exception of an undersized right Shift key, the keys of sony vgp-bps9 were decently spaced and sized, but overall, it felt slightly cramped. Also, as a result of the netbook’s thinness, there’s less travel to the keys than on other systems, so we ended up hitting them harder than we’re accustomed to.

The VAIO X’s touchpad was a decently sized 2.1 x 1.6 inches, and offered little friction. However, like the keyboard for sony vgp-bps9/s it could have been a smidgen larger, especially considering it’s capable of recognizing multitouch gestures, such as pinch and zoom. Two mouse buttons below are also small but responsive.


Display and Audio


As befitting a netbook that costs $1,500, the VAIO X’s 11.1-inch screen has a higher-than-usual resolution of 1366 x 768; we’ve only seen this standard on the sony vgp-bps9/b. This is becoming a more common option, however, such as on thevgp-bps5a. While this resolution tends to make icons too small on 10-inch netbooks, we didn’t mind it as much on an 11-inch screen.

When watching content streamed over the Web or played off vgp-bps5’s hard drive, we were impressed with the crispness and wide viewing angles of the display; we could turn it nearly 90 degrees to either side without seeing image reversal or egregious reflections.

Being as thin as vgp-bpl5 is, we’re not surprised at the lack of audio quality in the VAIO X. Songs were thin and tinny; the bass line in Aerosmith’s “Dream On” streamed over Pandora was nonexistent, and the speakers could barely fill a small office with sound.


Ports and Webcam


Despite its small stature, Sony battery manages to cram in most of the connectivity options seen on almost every other netbook. On the left side of vgp-bps2c,vgp-bps2a,vgp-bps2b,vgp-bps2 are two USB ports and a headphone jack. On the right is a VGA port and Ethernet. Just underneath the front lip is an SD Card reader and a Sony Memory Stick slot. Design


Even from afar, you can see that the fujitsu t5010 battery is a stylish machine. The purple-maroon cover has a soft touch finish, and is set off by angular chrome accents that bracket the battery. While it’s just 0.6 inches thin, it also has a very large footprint at 15.6 x 11.6 inches, similar to the hp compaq 6510b battery. In some respects, the rear design makes the Z600 reminiscent of a very expensive portfolio; even the power brick has a glossy black finish.



At 5.0 pounds with the extended battery and 4.6 pounds with the regular battery, the Z600 isn’t as light as an ultraportable, but neither is it uncomfortable to carry around. However, its large footprint makes it difficult to fit in smaller hp 6510b battery bags.



Too bad there’s no latch securing the lid to the deck; holding the notebook of vgp-bps8 upright by the hinge causes the lid to open slightly. The extended battery also wobbled when we held the notebook toward the hinge for sony vgp-bps8. We expect a more thoughtful design from something this expensive.



This same soft touch finish covers the keyboard deck, and is bordered by brushed metal. Above the black island-style keyboard are haptic volume controls that sony vgp-bps9 light up and buzz gently when pressed. To the right of the keyboard is a fingerprint reader, and to the right of the touchpad is a sony vgp-bps9/b Card reader.



Touching the right edge of the bezel activates one of the unique features of the Z600, Dell EdgeTouch. Keyboard and Touchpad


Typing on the SONY BATTERY was a pleasure; the black glossy keys were well spaced and had excellent response. It was also easy to type in the dark, as the letters and numbers on the keys lit up when we pressed them. Using the Dell ControlPoint utility, you can also control when the backlight comes on, how bright it gets, and for how long. Our only nitpick is that the keys picked up fingerprint smudges.



The touchpad on the Sony is quite large at 3.6 x 2.0 inches, and its matte surface had very low friction. Just be careful when you’re typing; more than once our thumb brushed up against it and moved the cursor to a different place in the document. The mouse buttons below of DEll  battery are also brushed metal, and blend nicely with the border. They, too, were snappy without being stiff.
